- When are we going to admit that these actions are not about drugs so much as they are about power and control. For several years now the cartels have been fighting one another for control--control of what? Drugs?? Really?? Drugs are only the newsworthy medium.

- Like the FDA has any room to talk after they botched the investigation of the Salmenella outbreak a couple of years ago and severely damaged tomato shippers and growers in Florida and Mexico for 2 months. Even new areas that weren't in production at the time of the outbreak were quaranteened.

- Why is this post collapsed and many of the comments? It is unbelievable to me that someone is so unsure of their positions that they have to collapse anyone who makes a valid point that they cannot counter (except with vitriol and hatred).

Thank you for a calm, reasoned voice in an agitated, irrational world. I would challenge any of these posters to pass the US Citizenship exam. I used to volunteer teaching literacy to immigrants, and the legal folks deserve all the help they can get. When I attended the ceremony after they passed their tests, I cried like they were my own children. May god bless and keep these poor people and their families.
